- Stadium: Molineux Stadium
- Location: Wolverhampton, England
- Capacity: 32,050
- Official Site: wolves.co.uk
Wolverhampton Wanderers, better known as Wolves, are a smallish club with a rich heritage. The city of Wolverhampton is near Birmingham in an area known as the Midlands. Their big rivals are all the other Midland clubs such as Aston Villa, Leicester City, West Bromwich Albion, Birmingham City, and Stoke City. It has a modern stadium with a biggish capacity. They wear gold/yellow and the fans are pretty passionate and friendly.
2. How to Buy Tickets
To purchase Wolves tickets you must have created an account with them. It's free to create the account. You can sign up here: https://login.wolves.co.uk/auth/register
Once you have created an account, head to the ticketing website by clicking "Tickets" located in the top left corner. At this point you will be asked to link an existing supporter number (also known as a client reference number). If you don't have one of these, simply click the button to "Create New Client Reference Number".
Doing this allows you to buy tickets that are on General Sale. However for some matches, you will need to be a member to actually be able to purchase tickets. Wolves have a few different membership options available. These include: My Wolves, Wolf Pack, Young Wolves (aimed at children) and Wolves Dribblers (aimed at very young children).
As a member you will gain loyalty points too which will help in buying tickets. All members receive 100 loyalty points just for being a member. Every game you attend, you will also gain 10 points. There are various ticketing sale windows for members and those with different loyalty points.
- My Wolves (adults aged 17+) costs £45
- Wolf Pack (children aged 12–16) costs £25
- Young Wolves (children aged 3–11) costs £25
- Wolves Dribblers (aged 0 to 2) cost £20
For all three memberships you get discounted ticket prices for category A and B games, access to members priority windows for home tickets, as well as 10% discount on the museum and stadium tour. The Wolves Dribblers get a 10% discount on the museum and stadium tours, and get invited to exclusive members only events.
All of these memberships are open to international fans. However, be aware that for these memberships you also get a free gift. For UK based members the postage & packing fees are £3.00. For those of you based outside the UK P&P will cost £9, and for fans in the USA it costs an additional £12. If you are coming to the UK to visit a game, and have booked your hotel, it may be worth asking them if they hold your membership gifts and you collect it when you arrive.
Tickets go on sale approximately 3 weeks before the match. Wolves operate 3 sale windows:
- Membership+ sale window
- All other members sale window
- General sale to non-members etc.
The Membership+ is a top secret membership scheme that is only open to those invited. To be invited you need to have attended a lot of games.
You can most likely find tickets on general sale for those mid week games against category C teams. Still struggling to get a ticket, try the Facebook group (watch out for scammers).
You can buy tickets online at: eticketing.co.uk/wolves
Or you can telephone: +44 (0)371 222 1877.
Or you can even buy in person at their ticket office at the stadium. For opening times: https://www.wolves.co.uk/club/about-us/opening-hours/
If you have an issue with your current booking, or you have general queries, you should contact Fan Services instead at: fanservices@wolves.co.uk or telephone: +44 (0)1902 810485 between the UK hours of 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
There are also numerous supporter clubs dotted around the world. These places often have additional tickets available for members of these clubs. You can search for them here: https://worldwide.wolves.co.uk/find-a-club/
The international fans website (available in multiple languages including Chinese, Spanish, South Korean, and Portuguese) can be found here: https://worldwide.wolves.co.uk/
Failing all of that, you can try to join this private Facebook group and ask here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/wolvestickets — you should be aware of the potential for scams.
3. Ticket Prices

5. Where to Sit
Molineux (pronounced Mol-lin-you) Stadium is an old style football stadium which comprises four main stands:
- Billy Wright Stand: Located on the west side, this stand houses the team dressing rooms, media booths, and the family section. Sometimes known as the Billy Quiet stand, it's mostly used by older fans and hospitality sections.
- Steve Bull Stand: It's the oldest stand and is quite cozy (i.e. small). It can have a nice atmosphere and you will be above the away fans who are positioned in the lower tier. It has the least facilities but probably has the best chance to buy tickets.
- Stan Cullis Stand: Better known as the North Stand, it's the most recently renovated stand and often hosts the more vocal home supporters. Our recommendation is to buy tickets here if you can.
- Sir Jack Hayward Stand: Located behind the south goal, also known as 'The South Bank', it's a single-tier stand with safe standing areas. It has the best atmosphere. Although it's mostly season ticket holders. Most people stand here even in non safe standing areas.
There are licensed standing positions in the Stan Cullis Quadrant, Steve Bull Lower and the Sir Jack Hayward Stand. Please pay attention when booking tickets, as licensed standing will be highlighted in the booking process. Family Area Blocks WL1 to WL9 of the Billy Wright stand lower tier are the stadium's designated family area.
Away supporters are typically seated in the lower tier of the Steve Bull Stand. For the best atmosphere, the Stan Cullis Stand is recommended, while the Billy Wright Stand offers premium seating options.
The Graham Hughes' stand is uncovered — it's entirely open to the elements so if it rains, you will get wet.
6. Getting There
Address: Molineux Stadium, Waterloo Road, Wolverhampton, WV1 4QR, England
Molineux, Wolves stadium, is located just north of the downtown area of the city of Wolverhampton. Wolverhampton is located in the middle of England, to the north west of the major city of Birmingham. The international airport is located on the opposite side of Birmingham.
Train
Wolverhampton train station is a 15 minute walk from the stadium. The train allows easy access from London and Birmingham as well as Manchester and Liverpool. There are direct trains to the Birmingham International Airport (BHX).
Metro
This is effectively a tram service and runs from Birmingham downtown (Grand Central railway station and shopping mall) to Wolverhampton every 6–8 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes in evenings and Sundays. The station in Wolverhampton to aim for is called Pipers Row. It's the last stop and is right next to the main bus station too. It's a 15 minute walk from here to the stadium.
Bus
The new bus station is called Pipers Row and is also a 15 minute walk to the stadium. National Express (an inter city coach company similar to Greyhound) coaches also stop here too. Flix buses only leave from Birmingham.
Cycling
At Molineux there is a parking lot for bicycles located directly in front of the ticket office (located between the Stan Cullis and Billy Wright stands). You can hire bicycles, including e-bikes and e-scooters from docking stations. The closest docking station is located at the University across the dual highway from the stadium. This site has more information: https://www.wmcyclehire.co.uk/
Walking
The best method to use as the cycling and road routes will be clogged with fans. You can use the subway/underpass to cross the major road south of the stadium. The best way from the bus, tram or railway station is to head towards the University, and then use the underpass to get to the stadium itself. The stand you see in front of you will be the Sir Jack Hayward stand.
Car
From the M6 motorway follow the signposts to Wolverhampton. Molineux stadium is situated just off the A4150 on the northern side of Wolverhampton. Expect roads around the stadium to be heavily congested and some will be closed to traffic. The A4150 will remain open, but roads directly next to the stadium (Jack Hayward Way, Waterloo Road) will be closed.
There are some limited parking lots at the stadium which you should pre-book via the Wolves website. These car parks will reopen about 20 minutes after the end of the game.
The Science Park is currently the only match-to-match parking fulfilled through the club officially. The postcode (zip code) for this is: WV10 9RU.
You should avoid parking at the parking lot at the Asda supermarket. You will likely receive a fine for parking there. There are also some other parking lots nearby that you can find here: www.justpark.com – Molineux Parking
7. Food, Drink & Pubs
The best pubs nearby for Wolves fans include:
- The Leaping Wolf (formerly known as The Goalpost): A popular spot for home fans as it's right next to the Stan Cullis stand, offering a lively atmosphere. Google Maps
- The Lych Gate Tavern: A traditional pub in the city center, known for its selection of ales. Google Maps
- The Clarendon: Wolves fan favourite, but it's a little out of the way for fans travelling into the city for the game. Google Maps
- The Hogshead: A central pub on the route from the train/bus/tram station to the stadium. Google Maps
- The Combermere Arms: Another favourite but on the western approach to the stadium. Google Maps
- George Wallace: Google Maps
- Prince Albert: Wolves favourite. It's not closed, try the door around the rear. Google Maps
Don't be surprised if on match days you are asked to show your match ticket to be able to get into the pubs. They are very popular and as long as you are a fan of Wolves, you'll be accepted by the other patrons. Don't wear non-Wolves colors (Jeans, black, gray, neutral colors will be ok). Also don't come wearing the full kit — jersey, shorts, socks — unless you want to spend the entire afternoon being mocked by other fans! You've been warned.
If you're not eating at the stadium, there's a range of food options in the downtown area:
- Bella: Google Maps
- Made in Thai: Google Maps
- Lupo Lounge: Serving British staples. Google Maps
- Cafe Rossa: Despite the name they serve Indian food. Google Maps
- KFC: Google Maps
- McDonald's: Google Maps
- Asda Supermarket: Cheap supermarket right next to the stadium. Google Maps
8. Tips for Tourists
What to Wear: Wearing Wolves' colors (gold and black) is encouraged for home supporters. Neutral colors are acceptable, but avoid wearing rival team jerseys (blue, claret/maroon).
What Not to Do: Avoid bringing half-and-half scarves or displaying support for rival teams in home sections. Always respect local customs and fellow fans.
Wolves App: You can download the Wolves App for your smartphone (available on iOS and Android).
Payments: It is a cashless stadium. No cash is accepted inside the stadium. Only card payments are accepted. Apple and Google Pay are both accepted.
Special occasions and dedications: If you have a special occasion or dedication you would like to make, either on the big screen or in the matchday programme, you can contact reception@wolves.co.uk with the text you want included, and a photograph of the supporter. This can be to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or just a special occasion. All entries need to be sent in 14 days prior to the fixture. However, they cannot guarantee all requests will be fulfilled.
Help: Fan services are available on 01902 810485 between 10am and 5pm Monday to Friday (UK times) and up until 2 hours before kick-off on matchday. Fan services are also available at fanservices@wolves.co.uk with emails monitored up until kick-off on matchday. Supporters can also chat with a fan services advisor at help.wolves.co.uk. Chat is available between 10am and 5pm Monday to Friday (UK time).
Fan Zone: The Wolves Fan Zone is located next to the Sir Jack Hayward stand at turnstile block 5 next to the subway/underpass to the university. The fan zone features special guests and live entertainment whilst serving a variety of food and drink. Molineux is a cashless stadium and only card payments will be accepted at the Fan Zone.
Ticket Office: The ticket office is located in between the Stan Cullis and Billy Wright stands, opening on all home match days up until half-time and sometimes it will reopen after the game. Opening times vary depending on kick-off time, please consult the official website ahead of the game for accurate timings.
ATM: The nearest ATM can be found at Asda which is a 1-minute walk from the Stan Cullis stand. Please note that Molineux is a cashless stadium.
North Bank Bar: The North Bank bar is exclusive to season ticket holders and members and serves a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. So if you're not a season ticket holder you cannot enter this bar. See our Food and Drink section for places you can drink at.
Merchandise: The Wolves Megastore is in the centre of the Stan Cullis stand. On a home Saturday matchday, the Megastore will open from 9am and stay open until kick off. They will also reopen after the final whistle.
Entry: Supporters will only be able to gain entry to the stadium using the turnstile block designated on their ticket or season ticket smartcard.
Bags: Bags larger than A4 size (about 30cm/12 inches by 21cm/8 inches) are not permitted. There is no luggage storage facility at the stadium. Luggage storage is available at a small cost, subject to availability, at the Wolverhampton Premier Inn hotel and can be booked via https://www.stasher.com
Flags & Banners: Flags and banners are permitted inside the stadium providing they are no larger than 150cm/59 inches at their widest or longest section. Permission from the club must be granted for flags larger than 150cm. The obstruction of gangways, access & exit routes, entrances, signage and stairways is prohibited.
Smoking & Vaping: Smoking and vaping is not permitted inside Molineux, this includes both the stadium bowl and concourse areas.
Umbrellas: You can take a small folding umbrella but large non-foldable umbrellas like golf umbrellas are not permitted.
Walking Aids: Crutches and such that are medical aids to help you walk are permitted.
Water Bottles: 500ml (16oz) transparent plastic bottles without the caps/lids are permitted. Anything larger and not transparent and not in plastic will not be allowed.
Prohibited Items: Prams/buggies, large umbrellas, motorcycle helmets, flares, smoke devices, knives, weapons, dark coloured bottles, laptops, tablets (iPad etc).
Large DSLR cameras are prohibited too but you should contact fan services to check your cameras beforehand as I have been able to take a large camera inside stadiums to watch soccer on a few occasions, but double check with fan services.
Food: You can take some food into the stadium as long as they fit into the small A4 sized bag.
Leaving the Stadium: Molineux operates a no re-entry policy. If you must leave the stadium for any reason, you will not be permitted to re-enter. We would advise you to avoid leaving early, as on so many occasions there have been dramatic endings to games.
Late Entry: A turnstile on each stand will remain open until half time to allow supporters who arrive late to enter the stadium. After half-time supporters should report to the ticket office where a steward will assist you to your seat.
Forgot your ticket: Supporters who lose or forget their tickets are advised to visit the ticket office when they arrive at Molineux on the day of the game. Upon confirmation of a few details a duplicate ticket will be provided.
Stadium Opening: Turnstiles at Molineux open 90 minutes prior to kick off.

There are 26 accessible toilets located around Molineux. If you do not carry a RADAR key (used to unlock accessible toilets in the UK), simply ask a steward who can provide access. For those needing enhanced facilities, there is also a Changing Places toilet available — ideal if your access needs are more complex.
