1. Club Overview
- Stadium: London Stadium
- Location: Stratford, London, England
- Capacity: 62,500 (football mode)
- Official Site: whufc.com
West Ham fans have a saying that England's only World Cup success in 1966 was actually West Ham's due to the fact the goalscorers were West Ham players, whilst the Captain was Bobby Moore, another West Ham player. Nicknamed the Hammers for their association with an ironworks in their early years (1895), they also have an association with the song "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles", and you can expect the team to walk out to bubbles (yes really). West Ham fans are a passionate East London bunch, and whilst their new stadium isn't as good as their old stadium in terms of atmosphere, it's still a great watch.
2. How to Buy Tickets
West Ham have one membership option called Claret membership (they are said to play in claret colored jerseys). For UK based members the price is £45 but for some inexplicable reason international members have to pay £50. Juniors pay £25. For this you will get a £5 discount on all home English Premier League (EPL) tickets you purchase. You will also get a £10 gift card to be spent in their shop (including online).
You can purchase tickets online, or you can visit the ticket office at the stadium. There are 20 windows to purchase tickets from the ticket office located at Turnstile E. It's open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm (UK times). You can email: ticketoffice@westhamunited.co.uk or phone: +44 (0)333 030 1966 (Option 3).
Tickets are digital tickets so you can add them to Apple and Google wallets. Tickets can also be emailed as a PDF and then printed at home. If you want the stress taken out and can't be bothered with any of this, you can purchase a match ticket package using West Ham's only official partner called P1 travel: https://www.p1travel.com/en/organizer/west-ham-united?type=organizer
To purchase tickets independently, the time frame for home tickets is that Claret Members are given a priority window to purchase a ticket. If any tickets remain, these will then go on a General Sale. You can find tickets on general sale, especially to less popular games and mid-week games. However you will not get a general ticket when playing one of the popular teams.
- Become a Claret Member: Members receive priority access to tickets and a £5 discount during the members' window ahead of each home match.
- General Sale: Remaining tickets are released to the general public after the members' window closes.
- Hospitality Packages: Premium experiences are available through Club London, offering luxury seating and exclusive amenities.
- Ticket Exchange: Tickets sometimes are available via the ticket exchange too.
3. Ticket Prices
Ticket prices vary based on the match category, your age, and the seat location in the stadium itself.
There are 4 match categories: AA, A, B and C. AA category tickets are the most expensive, whilst C category matches are the cheapest.
- AA: Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham (Spurs)
- A: Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Fulham, Everton, Crystal Palace
- B: Nottingham Forest, Brighton & Hove Albion, Bournemouth, Brentford, Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves)
- C: Burnley, Sunderland, Leeds United

4. Hospitality
West Ham have a series of different hospitality packages available. They are called Boleyn, Londoner, The Great Britain, The Forge, Royal East, and the Arnold Hills. Most of the packages include a padded seat (location varies) and a free matchday programme (a small magazine for that day's game) which makes a nice souvenir.
Lounges open 2.5 hours before the scheduled start time of the game, and for mid-week evening fixtures at 5.30pm. When you purchase your package and are not based in the UK (i.e. you don't have a postal address) the tickets are available for collection from the Club London VIP entrance at the stadium. Hospitality uses turnstile B.
Importantly if you purchase one of these packages, you are guaranteed to get a ticket to watch the game. Beware though, as these hospitality packages get sold out fast.
Boleyn
This is the cheapest package, you get a padded seat in a lower tier, free half time drink, and a free matchday programme. There is a relaxed dress code for this hospitality package. You can wear (and indeed are encouraged) a home jersey. However away team jerseys are not allowed.
Londoner
You get a padded seat in a mid tier area, free half time drink, and a free matchday programme. There is a relaxed dress code for this hospitality package. You can wear (and indeed are encouraged) a home jersey. However away team jerseys are not allowed.
The Great Britain
You get a padded seat in an upper or middle tier area, free half time drink, free matchday programme, you get a so-called VIP reception, and you also get a three course meal included. There is a relaxed dress code for this hospitality package. You can wear (and indeed are encouraged) a home jersey. However away team jerseys are not allowed.
The Forge
For this package you get a three course meal, a lower tier located padded seat, free half time drink and a free matchday programme. There is a relaxed dress code for this hospitality package. You can wear (and indeed are encouraged) a home jersey. However away team jerseys are not allowed.
Royal East
For this package you get a VIP reception (where drinks are served), a three course meal, a mid tier located padded seat, all inclusive drinks and a free matchday programme. You also get a meet and greet with a former men's team player too. Be aware that there is a dress code of smart casual, meaning no football jersey, tracksuits, ripped jeans, open toe shoes or sneakers, or leisurewear. Children under 12 are permitted to wear a home team jersey.
Arnold Hills
This package comes with a three course a la carte meal, drinks (beer, wine, soda), a padded seat in a mid tier level location next to the directors seating, a free matchday programme, and a meet and greet with a former men's player. Be aware that there is a dress code of smart casual, meaning no football jersey, tracksuits, ripped jeans, open toe shoes or sneakers, or leisurewear. Children under 12 are permitted to wear a home team jersey.
5. Where to Sit
The London Stadium was originally built for the London Olympics — and it shows. The stands are quite far away from the soccer field in many places, especially behind the goals. The views are okay, though, and West Ham's fans are noisy and create a great atmosphere.
The stadium has two main tiers:
- 1XX blocks – Lower tier, closest to the pitch
- 2XX blocks – Upper tier, higher up and generally quieter
Generally, the lower tier has a livelier atmosphere than the upper tier, especially in sections near the hardcore home fans or next to the away section in the Sir Trevor Brooking Stand.
Bobby Moore Stand (South)
Known for its passionate and noisy atmosphere, this stand is ideal for fans seeking a lively experience. The lower tier, especially blocks 102, 103, and 141 to 155, has the most vocal supporters and a strong matchday vibe.
Sir Trevor Brooking Stand (North)
This is where the away supporters are seated — both upper and lower tiers. If you want to be near the away fans for the banter or atmosphere, sit in blocks near this section such as 215, 216, 217, 221. These areas often have great energy, especially during big matches.
Billy Bonds Stand (East)
This stand offers a single-tier "Kop" style layout and was renamed in honor of club legend Billy Bonds in 2019. It's one continuous wall of fans and gives a great view from the side of the pitch.
West Stand
This is the main stand, featuring premium seating and hospitality areas. It's also where the dugouts are located — the managers and players sit here. If you want to be near the team benches or see the pre-match "bubbles" from the iconic bubble machine, this is the place.
6. Getting There
Address: London Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London E20 2ST
West Ham United's stadium is actually the former London 2012 Olympic stadium, located in East London north of the River Thames in an area called Stratford (not to be confused with Stratford-upon-Avon, the home of William Shakespeare!). The stadium is located within the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Getting to and from the stadium is easy as it has excellent transport links. The Elizabeth Line or London Underground (Tube) are the best methods to get to/from the stadium. It's recommended that you arrive 90 minutes before the scheduled start of the game. Turnstiles open 90 minutes before the game starts. A small river separates the stadium and Olympic Park from the shopping mall. Therefore it's advisable to use the signposted route so that you find the correct bridge.
London Underground (Tube)
The nearest station is Stratford Station which has railway links, Docklands Light Railway (DLR), and a London Underground station altogether. It is about a 20-minute walk from this station to the stadium. There is also a large shopping mall attached to the station. On matchdays, the station will become extremely busy so make sure to allow plenty of time.
- Take the Central Line (red) towards Epping or the Jubilee Line (silver/gray) towards Stratford.
- Stratford Station is in Zone 2/3. It takes about 20 minutes from Central London to get there.
You can also use Hackney Wick Station on the London Overground Mildmay Line (red). It's in Zone 2 and runs through North London, including Camden Road (handy if visiting Camden Market before the game).
Train
Stratford Station also serves the Elizabeth Line (purple), which runs across London from Reading to Shenfield. It connects with:
- Heathrow Airport
- Liverpool Street
- Farringdon
- Paddington
- West & East Ealing
- Hayes & Harlington
You need the line going toward Shenfield and Romford. There are also direct trains from Stratford to London Southend Airport.
Note: Despite its name, Stratford International does not serve any international destinations. It was once intended for Eurostar trains, but that plan never materialised.
Docklands Light Railway (DLR)
The DLR is a driverless light railway system similar to a tram. It connects with London City Airport, Bank, and Tower Gateway Underground stations. While it does link with the Elizabeth Line in places, it's not the most direct route to the stadium.
Bus
Stratford Bus Station and Stratford City Bus Station are near Stratford Station. Bus numbers include: 25, 86, 97, 104, 108, 158, 241, 257, 262, 276, 308, 425, 473, D8.
Cycling
There is a bike parking lot at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and several Santander bike docking points near the stadium. If you're taking your bike on public transport, be sure to check the restrictions beforehand.
Car
There are no official stadium car parks, but Westfield Shopping Mall has three: Parking Lots A, B, and C.
- Use Lot A if arriving via A12.
- Use Lot C if arriving via A112.
- Lot B is very small and often full.
Lot A is the best option overall due to better access and size. On match days, allow up to 60 minutes just to exit after the game. The higher your car is in the multi-story, the longer the wait to leave.
Westfield uses automatic number plate recognition. You can pay for parking online via: Westfield Parking Info.
You can also try yourparkingspace.co.uk to find alternative lots. One strategy is to park further out and take the Tube in. For example, park at Heathrow and take the Elizabeth Line — although costly, it may be less stressful. Canary Wharf and Stratford International are better value alternatives.
Driving Restrictions
- ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone): Operates all year and covers much of London (but not the M25). If your car doesn't meet emission standards, it costs £12.50/day. Even if your vehicle qualifies, you must register it: ULEZ Info.
- Congestion Charge: Applies in central London, 7am–6pm weekdays and 12–6pm weekends. Cost is £15/day. Pay online.
Taxi
Uber operates in London and is generally cheaper than Black Cabs. Many licensed minicab services are available, but must be pre-booked — you cannot hail them on the street.
Nearest Stations Summary
- Stratford Station: Jubilee, Central, DLR, National Rail; 15–20 min walk
- Hackney Wick Station: Overground; 10 min walk
Matchday Tip: Arrive early to avoid congestion, especially at Stratford Station, which gets extremely busy.
7. Food, Drink & Pubs
- Westfield shopping mall has lots of places to eat including chain restaurants, burgers, bagels, smoothies, coffee, etc.
- Hackney Wick area has lots of drinking places after the game has finished, whilst before the game the area around the Westfield shopping mall has a few different pubs.

- The Cow: Offers a wide selection of beers and a lively atmosphere. It's very near the stadium too. View on Google Maps

8. Tips for Tourists
- What to Wear: Home kit or neutral colors are recommended. Avoid wearing rival team colors to ensure a welcoming experience.
- What Not to Do: Refrain from wearing half-and-half scarves, as they are often frowned upon by traditional supporters.

Bags bigger than A4 paper size (about 30cm/12 inches by 21cm/8 inches) are not permitted. Any bags larger than this can be stored at Westfield shopping mall on the Lower Ground Floor next to the Costa coffee shop. It costs £3 for umbrellas and coats, luggage costs £5 for 0–4 hours, and £10 for 4–24 hours. Nothing that weighs more than 15kgs / 33 lbs will be accepted. Time restrictions also take place so please do check the opening/closing times especially for evening games. More info.

- Statue: The statue of Bobby Moore, Sir Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters is at Turnstile J.

- Turnstiles: Open 90 minutes before the match starts.
- Pre-match Show: Begins 45 minutes before the game starts inside the stadium.

- Digital Tickets: Ensure your ticket is ready for scanning. All tickets are digital and we recommend you have downloaded and added them to Apple/Google Wallet well before you get to the stadium as cell phone networks can become overloaded.
- Smoking and Vaping: Banned inside the stadium.
- Multi-faith Rooms: Located in the West Stand.
- Lost Property: If you have lost an item during your visit to London Stadium, please contact the Supporter Services team at supporterservices@westhamunited.co.uk.

Guided Stadium Tour
This 75-minute guided tour takes you through key areas of the stadium, including the West Ham United changing room and the players' entrance. At certain times of year, access to the soccer field and players' tunnel may be restricted, but from August 18, 2025, the tour is expected to once again include these areas. Tours run at set times that vary by day, so it's essential to check the latest information and availability online here: https://stadiumtourbookings.london-stadium.com/home.htm
VIP Tour
The VIP Tour lasts 90 minutes and includes a free personalised photo per booking group and a complimentary drink on arrival (likely tea, coffee, or a soft drink). While exact tour content isn't fully detailed, it's assumed to cover similar areas as the standard guided tour.
Matchday Guided Tour
Held on matchdays, this tour is similar in content to the regular stadium tour and typically lasts between 60 and 75 minutes. It offers a behind-the-scenes look at the stadium while it's being readied for a game, though availability and access may vary depending on the fixture. The last tour is 4 hours before the start time of the match.
Matchday Guided VIP Tour
Similar in structure to the standard VIP tour, this matchday version also lasts 90 minutes and includes the same perks — a free photo and drink — alongside your stadium visit. Expect the same key areas to be included, depending on matchday logistics.
Legends Tour
This extended 2-hour experience is guided by a former West Ham United player and includes a 30-minute Q&A session. Tour routes are expected to follow the usual path of the standard stadium tour. Past legends who have hosted include Steve Potts, Alvin Martin, Alan Taylor, James Collins, Ludek Miklosko, George Parris, Martin Allen, Mark Ward, Tony Gale, Phil Parkes, Tony Cottee, and Brian Dear.
